Well, I don’t have a lot experience with animation and the sort, but it is certainly something I would like to explore. So here is an early little animation project, so I can practice and learn some new skillz.

I am a major fan of the Sonic OVA (if you could not already tell) so this served as a natural jumping off point into uncharted waters. Sonic, Tails and Robotnik- err Metal Robotnik- I kept the whole thing as simple as possible, making it easy to pick up little nuances of this craft. It’s not perfect, but I am very happy with how this all came together.

Considering my lack of experience in the field, this was not as hard as I thought it was gonna be, which I hope is a good thing. The plan is to use what I learned here to build for the future. I did this entirely in Photoshop so at some point I will probably have to learn how to use Flash… that will be fun…

Hope you guys enjoy this little bit of practice in a new media. I sure had fun creating it!

It's actually "Robotropolis", but hey, that doesn't take away from the picture. ^_^

Well both names would be correct.

In the original version of the OVA it was referred to as Robotnikland. If you have ever seen the OVA divided into two episodes, the first of the two is actually named "Journey to Robotnikland"

The name was later changed to Robotropolis, I believe as a nod go SatAM.
