Everything From Nothing

Its time for the ninja to crash the party as Espio the Chameleon joins the cast of this Anniversary Series.

Continuing the Chaotix train of entrants this pic follows the trend. He is stoic in this picture, as he usually is, and this represents a large departure in how I draw this crafty chameleon, as a quick glance at my old art section will show.

Espio is one of the harder characters to draw in the Sonic Univerese. Though his head is a circle base, the fins that protrude from them are very unique. On top of all that, everyone seems to have their own way of drawing this guy so finding drawn references can be confusing.

This is a really cool image, the concept of fading Es to the background came to me as I did the lineart for this piece. It opens up the pic and really gives it a real distinction from the rest of the series. Even though you cant even see this guy half of the time, he is a great addition to this Anniversary Series.

This project was started on the 20th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, June 23, 2011. It will encompass numerous characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog video games, comic books and TV shows.
