Comm: Sonic and MLP - Family Portrait

Repeat business seems to be a trend these days as I just wrapped up another piece of work commissioned by . This time the order is of an image of a cute little family picture between Shadow’s family and Twilight Sparkle's.

Overall this is a cute little image. I must start by stating how much I adore the Shadow I drew here. I am certainly no stranger to working with the black hedgehog so I am able to tinker around with his emotions quite easily. Here I have him gesturing towards the camera, but its clear he has a given distain for the current situation. Like any dude taking a picture, he'd rather be someplace else. Keep him away from the chaos emeralds, he might just warp out of there! 

This is the first time I have worked on Maria and Gerald, so two more characters can be crossed right off my “never drawn before” list. Always a bonus when I can hack a few names off of that thing XD. The Maria in this image is also of particular note as it was requested that she be styled in a mannerism popularized by another artist. ~idolnya 's personal style to be exact. I am pretty good at emulating pretty much any artist so I hope she does note mind me stealing a few of her moves. ^^

Twilight, Shining Armor and Princess Cadance were all completed in a style that should be very reminiscent of the MLP show. While Cadance and Armor have no problem looking good in front of a camera, as should be expected of any premier couple, Twilight’s adorable bashfulness shines through. Gotta love it. 

The background reflects the two sides home worlds with a nice outer space vista for Shadow and a beautiful blue sky backdrop for twilight. Nothing too fancy there, as I don’t want to take focus away from the foreground too much.
