Comm: Silver and Rarity - The Nicer Things

Crank up dat repeat business machine cause’ is back for another commission from yours truly. The subjects this time are none other than my boy Silver the Hedgehog (we go way back) and Rarity.

This one was built with the same structure as the previous commissions of this ilk, as requested of course, so excuse me if it does look a tad similar. Outside of the basic structure, I went through great lengths to differentiate this one from the previous pictures I created.

Once again I got to make use of my famous wood effects, and I am starting to scare myself with how good I am getting with that. This might just be my best hardwood to date. It simply came out beautifully. I gave the floor a red stain to really let it shimmer and the effect is just so pleasing to the eye. I want to rip that wood out of my picture and install it in my own house. It’s just. so. stunning…

*stops self from drooling*

OK, that’s enough about the wood. I went for a bit of a “fancier” look for the décor of this image. Rarity strikes me as a girl that appreciates the finer things out there so I built up the room accordingly. The custom round bed, a bay window with seating and a transparent veil surrounding the sleeping chambers all combine to create an eloquent resting area. I think Rarity herself would appreciate it.

I mean, who wouldn’t? That wood floor is to die for!

Throw in some soft lighting that cascades off of the environment and through the veil and you get a complete little picture. That gentle glow just bounces off of everything. Including, you guessed it, that immaculate wood floor!
