Comm: Link vs Death Egg Robot - Finisher

decided to dip his foot into the Next Lvl waters and order up this crossover commission. Here we have Link and his trusty side Navi leaping up to deal the final blow to the Death Egg Robot all within the heart of King Dodongo’s lair. (Ocarina of Time) 

Let me start by saying that this picture is all about the one and only Navi and is co-starring everyone else’s weakness. Just look at her! She is magnificent! Navi’s tag along doesn’t look too bad in his own right though. Link is rocking some awesome leather and cloth texture, with a shimmering Master Sword and Hylian Shield in tow. I am downright giddy with how my Hyrule Warrior (relevant pun ftw!) came out in this one. He is built off of the adult OoT variant with a few Soul Caliber nods. (Dude is straight ripped) there is a lot to love here, and its not too bad considering it is my first attempt at drawing my main man here.

Egg Robo was a whole other beast. Working with robotics is always a far cry from organics. You get a lot of little details to play with which always makes for a more detailed image. Death Egg Robot is quite literally littered with a wide variety of little lights to focus on. 

I really tried to play up the lava effects with this one. It is very bright and sporadic to help give the image a distinctive flair. The image is littered with multiple layers of particle effects, flowing throughout the cavern. The lava itself is bubbling and pulsating while it glows. The entire effect is quite nice and is an evolution of a technique I utilized in the past. The pool of molten rock does indeed look hot and that is the main goal here.

Looks like I have another hi-rez image completed. Thanks a bunch to BlueDragonKaiser for ordering this monstrosity. It was fun to finally craft a character from the Legend of Zelda Series and you know I can’t get enough of the Sonic the hedgehog franchise.
